I really LOVED my stay at Sophia’s this week! I’m from Australia and I did a solo 4 night stay at Sophia’s to sight see and do some island hopping whilst my Mum was visiting family in Manila. From the moment I stepped in, all the staff were so accomodating and friendly! My room was very clean, the complimentary breakfast was served fresh and hot from the in house chefs daily. My airport and island tour transfers were all on time and the staff were always available to answer any questions I had (I had many lol) The top level is truly one of the best views of El Nido. Every morning I’d get up early to have breakfast on the balcony and take in the view. It’s a 180 degree view of the ocean, beach and mountains. The beach is also literally on the back doorstep. The other things I liked about my accommodation were the external same day laundry service they provide (hard to find in El Nido on the streets) and ordering takeaway which the staff helped me order over the phone. The staff also know the area very well and recommended some lovely beaches to go to in my downtime which I really appreciated! The guest house is approx a 15-20 minute walk to El Nido town and the fresh produce and meat is about 300m away. Sophia’s will not disappoint! Hope you enjoy El Nido as much as I did!

The location is dreamy. The hotel is located right at the beach. Whenever you feel like cooling down in the sea, all you need to do is walk 10 metres to the water. It’s located within walking distance to the centre of El Nido. Getting to the airport is really convenient: there are plenty of tricycles waiting to drive you for 400PHP. There are a lot of good restaurants and bars within walking distance as well. The sunsets are just so lovely to watch from the beach or from the terrace of the house. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There is a possibility to use snorkeling gear and a kayak for free. You can also rent a scooter for an affordable price. The breakfast is varied and the taste is good. Nothing crazy and the portions are a bit small, but it’s certainly not bad. As a European couple used to Western living standards, we really loved our stay at Sophia’s and would certainly recommend it!

This is a great hotel, right on the beach, easy walking distance to numerous restaurants. The staff at Sophias were excellent. Mark, Ante,Keruin,Klang and Jobert (hope I got your names right), were the 5 staff that I had the pleasure of meeting and each and every one of them assisted us in some way with reception, breakfast, fixing small issues, arranging tours and suggestions on what to see and do. Staff will go up to the main road to grab a tricycle for you, prices are set and displayed in tricycles, very easy, cheap and quick to get into El Nido town. A huge thank you to each and everyone of you for making our stay such a pleasure and always greeting us with a smile.

The property is on the beach in El Nido, rooms are clean and the AC is working just fine. We had only breakfast on the upper terrace which was good and the coffee super tasty! They offer facilities such as: booking boat tours and transfers from Puerto Princesa to El Nido (by a mini shared van) and also we had 2 island hopping tours ( we choose A and D tours). The staff is super kind and very helpful so they checked upon us to see if everything was all right because we had to arrive from PPS to El Nido by van which took us 5 hours. We appreciate it very much. Reception also open during night and they offer us free bottled water! A big plus! Thank you.

The location is perfect, peaceful and with some nice restaurants along the beach. The sunsets are beautiful. You can reach the town with a 20 min walk. The beach is not really suitable for swimming (many boats) but you can rent a kayak directly at Sohias guest house and easily reach Papaya beach (a beautiful beach, not crowded and perfect for snorkelling and relaxing). The breakfast was good, you can choose from different options (milk and oats, toast and jam, or traditional filipino breakfast). I would suggest to include the option of yogurt & fruit (for example mangos, since we dont have these delicious mangos in Europe :) )
